When ever you have plan on visiting New York City, take a detour to the Gilded Age while you are at it.
Might be you are not anle to tell from the Jade Hotel‘s unassuming facade, but this neighborhood gem glitters with old-world glamour on the inside, from its gold-touched Art Deco rooms to its speakeasy-esque bar and restaurant. Step inside our photo gallery to take your own virtual tour of the Jade’s opulent spaces and be transported to an age of Gatsby-style grandeur via 13th Street.
With 113-room boutique hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village was designed by Gene Kaufman with interiors by Andres Escobar & Associates, and recently celebrated its two-year anniversary. Designed by Atelier & Company to blend in with the building’s Greenwich Village surroundings, the Jade’s facade succeeds in being clandestine – we nearly missed it on our first pass! Inside, a grand, backlit staircase descends into a cozy lobby lounge where guests can kick their feet up on plush armchairs and enjoy the roaring fire. To the left, a modest but thoughtfully curated library alcove offers a literary distraction to those who might want it, while drinks can be ordered to two sitting nooks for others looking to escape the cares of the day in another way.
